#BalanceforBetter is the theme for this year's International Women's Day, which is observed each year on March 8. The 2019 initiative is aimed at gender equality, a greater awareness of discrimination and a celebration of women's achievements....so with this in mind I am glad to say Sonning Fireworks have been a shining example of equality for years... Being a woman and working for Sonning means standing in the cold, wet, muddy fields or the dry long grass infested with biting bugs along side the men.....Driving, carrying, packing (although not vans and that isn’t an equality issue on sex, that is an equality issue on no one packs a van OCD Tetris style like Neil and Jack can, so no one else does it!) wiring, taping, staking, picking, prepping, early starts, late finishes everything the men do we do too....Such a glamorous side to the spectacular firework displays we produce throughout the Home Counties.. As for the designing that is left to Chris the Tech Wizard, but even he has been known to involve a certain little lady on occasion!!
We as a company have had the privilege of producing high end pyrotechnic displays for some of the most powerful, prominent women this century. So to strong women everywhere that muck in equally with the men, may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them...
